What is happening to our Country Nigeria? A situation whereby those that suppose to lead us are showing us bad examples what is the faith of Nigeria? This action of some House of Representative Members exchanging blows is uncalled for. It now happen between State and Federal Legislators. A song writer sang "which way Nigeria". This is a question we have to ask ourselves as citizens of this great country. The other day we heard that some Governors from the new People's Democratic Party (PDP) met with the President to settle their dispute but instead  of resolving the dispute, the matter escalated to show of physical strength where our So-called Legislators had to exchange blows to make their point. This is very sad. Can someone tell me how to move this country forward by posting a comment.

There is no state or nation that does not have poor among them. God’s expectation for His people to care for the needy and poor are interlinked throughout the scripture. Therefore Christians should not be unconcerned towards those in need, . For example, in Jeremiah 22:16, King Josiah was used as an example and even Moses instructed his people in (Deuteronomy 15:10) on how to treat the poor and needy. In Proverbs 14:31 King Solomon made us to understand that being kind to the needy is one of the ways we can honour God as Christians.

 The following passages shows us that God loves the poor and gets offended when they are being neglected. Christians should study these passages (Proverbs 11:4, 17:5, 19:17, 22:2, 9, 16, 22-23, 28:27, 28:8, 29:7, 31:8-9). Every Christian should see Proverbs 28:27 and Proverb 21:13  as watchwords for their Christian living.

 The New Testament clearly stated how we are suppose to care for the poor.  (1 John 3:17-18) nicely summarizes the Christian way of living which involves self-sacrifice. Jesus commanded Christians to show love to their neigbour.

God's desire is for His children to have compassion for the poor and needy as shown in both the Old and New Testaments. In fact when we show love to the poor or needy we are in turn ministering to Jesus personally and we have our rewards according to (Matthew 26:11; Mark 14:7; Matthew 25:35-40) 

 

The question is what are our attitude as Christians towards the needy? This story below can be compared to some   parables in the bible. It is not just enough to profess Christianity with words, your actions should also depict what is being preached. Do not just read but learn from the story below.  Happy reading.

He walked around his soon to be church for 30 minutes while it was filling with people for service, only 3 people out of the 7-10,000 people said hello to him.

Presidency finally agrees to sack Tukur

PDP National Chairman, Alh. Bamanga Tukur may be on his way of out of the party leadership position as the aggrieved governors of the Party appear to be winning the war over his removal.

The governors and other party stakeholders as well as the presidency met for hours on Tuesday night and agreed on some important areas leading to reconciliation. Meanwhile, another meeting has beenslated for Sunday in Abuja
